Swan Covid-19 Safety Precautions:

We have put the following health and safety measures in place to keep everyone -

tutors and participants - as safe as we can during our classes, although we would also like to reiterate that everyone attends our classes at their own risk.

  • We ask that no one attend any of classes if they, or anyone within their household, is experiencing any Covid-19 related symptoms, or has returned from a Covid-19 high-risk area within the last 14 days.
  • Please book and pay in advance for indoor classes as most venues have number restrictions, general admittance might not be available on the day
  • Please be in good time for your class, to allow for any additional safety procedures entering the venue.
  • We will be using forehead thermometers at our indoor classes, if your temperature is a little high and into the ‘yellow or red zone’ then in the interest of safety you will not be allowed to continue the class.
  • Face coverings/protection are recommended although not mandatory. Tutors will be wearing Face Shields whilst taking payments.
  • Payment by contactless card or cash on the day, paypal or BACS transfer in advance.
  • Please bring and use your own hand santiser
  • Please keep at least 1metre apart, 2metre if possible
  • We request no physical contact between class members
  • Please bring your own water bottle to drink from
  • Please bring your own anti-bacterial wipes to clean surfaces you may have touched including door handles, toilets, etc
  • We will be ensuring the venues we use are well ventilated, please dress appropriately

The above policy is being constantly reviewed and assessed in line with the latest government and scientific policies. Any further questions or requests please get in touch.

The Swan School of Tai Chi & Chi Gung is based in the beautiful area of Stratford-upon-Avon in Warwickshire, and as Tai Chi & Chi Gung instructors we are committed to providing high quality professional classes and seminars for the whole community. There are currently over 10 regular classes available weekly in the Stratford-on-Avon and Warwick area, covering a wide range of age groups and abilities, including being the forerunner in offering antenatal classes specifically for pregnant women.

In our Chen style Tai Chi classes we teach the Laojia (Old Frame) form, passed down through the lineage of Grand Master Chen Xiao-Wang, the Chen family 19th generation Standard Bearer. Grand Master Chen visits the UK every spring time and his seminars are a must to attend.

In our Tai Chi & Chi Gung classes we teach a wide variety of traditional and more modern excerises, some of which date back over 1000 years, all of which are beautiful and help to target different areas of the body for health and healing.

The Swan School promotes and develops student knowledge and different experiences of Tai Chi and Chi Gung through arranging regular educational trips e.g. to the Inner Circle of Stonehenge; visiting lecturers and practitioners e.g. Grand Master Chen Xiao-Wang, Master Chen Yin-Jun and Eva & Karel Koskuba, Group demonstrations e.g. Tai Chi in the Park, and social evenings for peer group support and friendships.

We believe we are providing essential tools for life - a healthier body, a happier spirit, a chance to learn new skills and to adopt a calmer, more centred approach to life through renewed confidence in yourself.

Our principal tutors have been Eva and Karel Koskuba, to whom we owe a debt of gratitude for their continued support and professional development.

An essential aspect of student learning is the recognition of skills attained and progression, and the School is able to facilitate the learning of other forms of Tai Chi e.g. Chen style Single and Double Broadswords, Straight Sword, Chen Single and Double Fan, elements of Yiquan and Yang style.

The Swan School of Tai Chi and Chi Gung is experienced in delivering specialist courses or one off sessions within Education, Commerce or Medical arenas and we would wish to develop our client base.  The tutors are experienced practitioners, which enables them to design and deliver quality teaching sessions using different educational techniques to successfully focus on individual or group requirements.

Our instructors hold professional membership of the Chinese Internal Arts Association, the British Council for Chinese Martial Arts, and instructor level membership of the Tai Chi Union of Great Britain. We are all qualified, certified and insured with over 30 years of tai chi experience between us.
